Color Coding of Links
Red Links
The purpose of these links pages is to attract architects to this site. Red links are links to sites that an architect can go to and get all the information that architects needs to include the product in his drawings and specifications, Without having to call up the manufacturer or the manufacturer's salesman. The following is a list of information on your website that will help you obtain red link status.1) C.S.I. format sample specifications for each product on your site.
2) Computer Drafting compatible details on each product for downloading.
3) PDF data sheets with technical data about each product on your site.
4) Products from different catagories should be on separate pages.
5) Pictures showing the appearance of your product (if applicable)
6) Insert the catagory and catagory number on the page with the product.
(example: 02632 Storm Drains and Underdrain Inlets)

It is your responsibility to determine if you feel a product is of the required quality and if it is appropriate for your application.

Magenta Links
Magenta links show links to trade groups or groups that set the standards for that particular product. These organizations do not manufacture a product but they could represent a group of manufacturers of a certain product. They could also be the governing body for determining standards by which a product is made.An example of a gold link is the Steel Joist Institute. They do not manufacture joists but they represent a group of manufacturers of joists and they set the standard by which joists are manufactured and installed.

Green Links
Green links show links to a manufacturer's links page which can suppliment further architectural research on a particular product or catagory. Links on top of links give the architect almost endless resources to research a catagory of products.The following is a good example of a manufacturer's links page on acoustics.

Tan Links
Tan links show links to a sites that offer Continuing Education Learning Units for Architects and Engineers. Many states require continuing education for renewal of professional licenses for Architects and Engineers.The following is a good example of a site with Continuing Education Learning Units.

Orange Links
Orange links show links to samples of specifications by manufacturers or organization. Most sites with red links also have specifications associated with them so don't limit your specification search to orange links. Ryan Design does not evaluate specifications for accuracy and completeness. You must determine if a specification is appropriate for your application.Blue Links
Blue links are links that advertises a product but might require the architect to call on a manufacturer or their sales personel to get the information required to draw or specify that product.Gray Links
